Organization of the Family Health Forum, Health Messenger, Young Athletes and Women Play Women Lead

As part of its commitment to promoting inclusion and the well-being of people with intellectual disabilities, Special Olympics Morocco organized a series of activities in the Southern Region of Morocco from May 13 to 15, 2026, centered around four flagship programs: Family Health Forum, Health Messenger, Young Athletes, and Women Play Women Lead.

The Health Messenger program focused on raising awareness about healthy lifestyles, physical activity, and overall well-being through interactive workshops and educational sessions. Participants also strengthened their communication skills, empowering them to become health ambassadors within their communities.

Through the Young Athletes program, young children participated in age-appropriate motor, sports, and recreational activities designed to develop their physical abilities, build confidence, and encourage inclusion through play and sport.

The Women Play Women Lead program brought together women and girls for interactive workshops and sports activities aimed at strengthening self-confidence, developing leadership skills, and encouraging greater female participation in sports and community life.

The Family Health Forum provided families with educational sessions and discussions focused on health, well-being, and the important role families play in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities. The program also strengthened collaboration between families, healthcare professionals, and the Special Olympics Morocco team.

Through these initiatives, Special Olympics Morocco continues its mission of building a more inclusive society by providing programs that promote health, personal development, leadership, and active participation for people with intellectual disabilities and their families.
