Day 1 of the Rabat International Nautical Festival – Special Olympics

As part of the 18th edition of the Rabat International Nautical Festival (FNIR 2026), a day dedicated to Special Olympics Morocco athletes was organized to promote inclusion through sport and water-based activities.

This first day brought together children and young people with intellectual disabilities to participate in several disciplines, including Beach Soccer, Beach Volleyball, and Kayaking. Guided by educators, volunteers, and committed partners, participants had the opportunity to discover these activities in a safe and supportive environment that encouraged learning, self-improvement, and teamwork.

Throughout the day, the athletes demonstrated enthusiasm, determination, and outstanding sportsmanship. The various activities highlighted the fundamental values of our organization: inclusion, respect, courage, and equal opportunities. The event also served as an excellent opportunity to raise public awareness of the importance of making sports accessible to everyone, without discrimination.

Special Olympics Morocco extends its sincere gratitude to the participating children, their families, educators, volunteers, partner clubs, and the organizers of the Rabat International Nautical Festival for their commitment and valuable contribution to the success of this day.

Through this initiative, Special Olympics Morocco reaffirms its commitment to promoting a more inclusive society, where every individual has the opportunity to thrive through sport and reach their full potential.
