MENA Regional Games 2026 – Competitions begin

As part of the first stage of the 10th Special Olympics MENA Regional Games in Tunisia, the competitions officially began with the divisioning matches, an essential phase designed to place teams into balanced and competitive divisions based on their abilities.

On this opening day of competition, the Special Olympics Morocco delegation played two matches. The team faced Algeria in its first game before taking on the United Arab Emirates in the second match of the day.

Throughout the competition, the Moroccan athletes demonstrated determination, teamwork, and outstanding sportsmanship. These opening matches allowed the delegation to gain valuable experience while showcasing the core values of the Special Olympics movement: respect, courage, and fair play.

This first day of competition marks an important milestone for the Moroccan delegation as they continue their journey with confidence and determination throughout the remaining stages of the 10th Special Olympics MENA Regional Games.
