MENA 2026 Regional Games – Regional Youth Leaders Summit (Days 1 and 2)
As part of the MENA Regional Games 2026 in Tunisia, the first two days were dedicated to the Regional Youth Leadership Summit, bringing together young leaders from across the region to strengthen their skills and commitment to inclusion.
Morocco was proudly represented by Badreddine Ait Taleb, Mentor, Bakr Roudani, Special Olympics Morocco athlete, and Abdennour Derhmain, Young Leader. Together, they actively participated in the summit’s activities, proudly representing the values of Special Olympics Morocco.
The first day focused on developing youth technical skills and exploring initiatives that promote inclusion. Participants took part in youth-led activities, learned about Special Olympics youth priorities and the Unified Champion Schools program, and attended expert-led sessions on Artificial Intelligence, storytelling, and inclusive education in Tunisia.
The second day focused on strengthening participants’ project management skills through collaborative workshops and interactive discussions. Youth leaders also had the privilege of hearing an inspiring testimony from the mother of a young person with intellectual disabilities, who shared her personal journey and commitment to inclusion.
Throughout the summit, young leaders from across the region had the opportunity to exchange ideas, share experiences, and build meaningful connections centered on leadership, collaboration, and inclusion. The summit further empowered participants to become agents of change within their communities while promoting a shared vision of a more inclusive society.
